Antici... pation

Oh, the waiting. Now that we are in the World Series (really? did I just type that? the WORLD FREAKIN SERIES, y'all!), we need to wait to find out who our worthy opponent will be. I'm personally hoping for the Mets, for three reasons:
  1. There's never been a Tigers/Mets matchup in the World Series,

  2. Having the two teams that led their respective leagues most of the year meet would be very cool, and finally

  3. It would be fun to defeat *both* New York teams. :)

Although, with regards to the Mets, I have some very fond memories of the '86 team - Gary Carter, Mookie Wilson, "Let's Go Mets!" and of course that game 6 win as the ball dribbled through Bill Buckner's legs. Man, that was sweet.

But that was then, this is now. No Mets love this year.

So we wait. And check the blogs and the news stories and the message boards. And try to get some work done, because starting next Saturday it will be ALL baseball ALL the time in my house.

Pass some of that time with this - if you haven't heard the song or seen the video yet, you're missing out on quite a Tiger treat.
