ALDS Game 2

Wow. Thanks for the comments. Anon is one syllable short of a haiku (if you know what I mean). Kicker of Elves - scary-ass name but it means a great deal to hear what another fan is going through.

Of course I played hookie from work, yesterday. I headed down to a pizza joint to peep the game at lunchtime. A friend joined me but he quickly got distracted with some wine-tasting shindig at the next table.

I could gush about the Tigers pitching for pages but suffice it to say, they were spectack. Is it weird for me to say the Tigers' two best starters haven't even pitched yet?

I feel like we missed out on some scoring opps that would have made Jones breathe a little easier at the end but nonetheless, incredible win!

Now the motor city is promised at least 2 home playoff games and god knows they deserve it and so much more. Lets shut it down at home guys. Bless you, Detroit. Bless you, boys!

Comerica Park, October, Packed, Roaring. Amazing. We've got The Gambler tonight and Bonderman tomorrow. If Bonderman is anything like he can be, and has been at times, we're in good shape. This is what He (Bonderman) has been waiting for, and it is exactly what the Tigers were thinking when they dealt Weaver. Let's see if he's in a position to end the Yanks' season.

Oh, and, yeah - how fitting would that be, if you're Brian Cashman, to face the guy who is, in a way, who "you" traded (T. Lilly was the guy NY traded to Oak for Weaver, who was acquired from Det. for Bonderman, C. Pena and F. German - but, for the sake of fun…), in an elimination game? Can't wait.
